This is an annual study group and will reconvene in 2024.
This happy group comprises members from three churches - Trinity UCC (Waynesboro), Trinity State Line, and Church of the Apostles (Waynesboro). Each church takes turns planning the meeting, hosting the program or activity, and providing refreshments. All are welcome!
Many participants have their own transportation to and from events, but the Called to Care team often provide rides, if needed.
This group of volunteers is devoted to providing support to our congregation via:
College Care Packages
Social Seniors
Funeral/Celebration of Life Receptions
Keeping in Touch - writing and delivering letters and Christmas poinsettias to our homebound/residential living members; and most importantly, visiting and spending time with those members.
This group is open to any who feels a call to care in these ways.
The Consistory is composed of 12 elected members and is the church's governing body. While acting as counsel to both the Pastor and the congregation, perhaps the most important task of the Consistory is to assist in the planning and execution of meaningful church programs, services, and evangelical outreach designed to strengthen the spiritual lives of individuals through the work of the church. Generally, Consistory meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month, at 7 P.M.
The Finance Team meets quarterly and is responsible for providing oversight to the church treasurers, financial secretaries, and Trustees. It conducts an annual review of church financial accounts and is also responsible for preparing and presenting for Consistory approval Trinity’s Annual Mission Spending Plan “sufficient to operate the ministries of the church for each Fiscal Year.” The Finance Team consists of the chairperson, the financial secretary, the assistant financial secretary, the treasurer, the assistant treasurer, the Stewardship Team chair, the Trustee Chair, two (2) at-large members, the Consistory President, and the Senior Pastor.
Trinity's Justice and Witness Ministry Team (JWM) works to address social justice issues. We meet on the first Sunday of each month during the Sunday School hour (9:15-10:15) in the church's library. We welcome new members!
Ongoing projects include the Blessings Box, Little Library, and Feminine Hygiene Collection for Waynesboro Human Services. We also organize other activities for the church, like collecting items for disaster buckets through Church World Service. We also support our youth's management of our church's SERRV store.
The Worship Team helps implement the various aspects of worship, which include ushers, lay readers, music, communion, and Sanctuary decorating, among other worship decisions. This team is made up of church members, as well as the Pastor, Organist, and Director of Music. If you have any interest in being involved, contact Deb Hollen.
Holy Ground Golf is a group of non-competitive friends who love golf. We meet on Tuesday evenings at South Mountain Golf Course and tee off around 5:30 P.M. We normally gather from the end of April through September (or as long as we have daylight!).
Church members as well as nonchurch members are welcome. All ages and levels of golf enthusiasts are encouraged to come out and join us as we enjoy God's beauty and fellowship on the golf course!
All updates for this group can be found on the Facebook Page.
The Out2Eat Group originated as an outgrowth of the Bonus Book Youth Group fundraiser. Once a month, a restaurant was designated that had a coupon in the Bonus Book, and a reservation would be made for a group dinner.
The Bonus Book ended during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the group ceased to exist. It was resurrected in 2022 but without a Bonus Book coupon.
Basically, a person volunteers to organize an Out2Eat Group at a specific restaurant, usually on the 3rd or 4th Friday of a month. The person in charge varies from month to month, as does the designated restaurant. Information is placed in the Sunday church bulletin and in E Tidings. People either call the church office or the contact person if they plan to attend. The contact person for the month then lets the restaurant know how many will be attending. It is a fun group that enjoys good food and fellowship and is open to anyone in the congregation or their guest.
Please follow our Facebook Page for upcoming gatherings.
Updates can be found in eTiding’s or in the weekly Bulletin.
