Praise Mobile

Supplies:

  • Construction paper

  • String or yarn

  • Markers

  • Glitter

  • Glue

  • Streamers

  1. Make and trace pictures of balloons, music instruments, noisemakers, anything you might use for a celebration.

  2. Make a large circle using construction paper or tag and write CELEBRATE JESUS in bright-colored markers. You can also write words of PRAISE on your mobile pieces as well.

  3. Spread glue on each piece and carefully sprinkle glitter.

  4. Use string or yarn and to hang the pieces you made to the circle.

  5. Hang streamers from the mobile.

  6. Hang the mobile to remind you to celebrate Jesus riding a donkey into Jerusalem.

  1. Take an empty tin can and wash it out.

  2. Cut a piece of construction paper that will wrap around the can.

  3. Decorating and write words of celebration on the paper.

  4. Spread glue on the can.

  5. Roll the construction paper around the can. Hold until the glue dries. You could also tape the paper to the can.

  6. Use craft sticks or small items to tap on the drum.

  1. Take a craft stick. Color your stick using a marker or crayon or whatever you have at home and decorate the stick.

  2. Glue thin pieces of paper or crepe paper to the top end.

  3. You now have a celebration stick to use whenever you need to celebrate.

  1. Take old magazines and cut out pictures that show ways to celebrate Jesus. Glue them on a piece of paper.

  2. Draw and color on paper ways to celebrate and then glue them to a piece of tagboard or construction paper. Ideas of praise to Jesus -- praising for friends, or family, homes, cars, toys, weather, nature, etc.

  3. Give your collage a title such as PRAISE THE LORD, CELEBRATE JESUS, LOVE MY NEIGHBOR or any other words or phrases that could be used.
