Love Jar

1. Take a jar that has a lid. Clean it out if needed.

2. Take different colors of construction paper. Cut into strips.

3. On each strip write why you love mom. Make as many as you can think of.

4. Put them into the jar.

5. Take another piece of construction paper and cut it into the shape of a heart.

6. Write the following on the heart:

“I know your job is sometimes hard. When you need a pick me up, take a slip from the jar, and they will remind you that I love you.”

7. Put a hole in the top of the heart and put a ribbon through the hole and then tie it around your jar.

8. Then give the jar to someone who ‘mothers’ you.

How to Make a Yarn Wrapped Monster Craft

Make a monster to make mom smile.

Supplies:

Scrap Cardboard (an old Amazon box is perfect)
White Paper or Cardstock for Printing
Paints, crayons, or colored pencils
Different colored yarn or Ribbon
Glue stick
Pencil
Scissors

1. On the cardboard draw a silly-looking monster head.  2. Cut out the head shape. 3. Make eyes, mouth, nose, ears, and maybe horns, whatever you want on your monster face. Use whatever supplies you have to make the face.

4. Now make small slits, about an inch apart, all the way around the edge of the monster’s head.

4. Now, it’s time to get wrapping! Starting at the top, secure the end of the yarn firmly, and begin to wrap the yarn around the head, working from slit to slit. 5. You can use one color of yarn, but we love the effect that you can create by usin
